A steamship lies tilted on her side at a dock
The NERO, a 90m yacht, was in the port of Genoa (Italy) graving dock for servicing. As the dock was dewatered the port side blocking system failed, causing the vessel to heel over, resting on the turn of the bilge at a 41-degree list. The event caused the stabilizer fin shafts to puncture the hull in addition to damage and deformation caused by the blocking system.

Resolve Marine was contracted to repair, right, and refloat the vessel. Using a combination of hydraulic jacks, the vessel was carefully rolled upright to gain access to the damaged areas. Once repaired the dock was reflooded allowing the vessel to float under its own power.

The operation was successfully carried out employing local workers from the port and specialists from Switzerland and Germany.
